Volunteers Wanted for the LVA Board of Directors
For over 40 years, Literacy Volunteers of Greater Augusta (LVA) has served the region promoting and fostering increased literacy for adults with low reading skills or those for whom English is not their native language. This has been done through the timeless efforts of hundreds of volunteers.
There is always an ongoing need for volunteers. But now, in particular, we are in need of dedicated and talented individuals to serve on our Board of Directors.
Our “working board” meets monthly and assists with everything from letter writing campaigns to helping to organize the library resources. All of our Board members actively support our major fundraising activities by volunteering and promoting the 3-5 programs we hold each year. Most of our fundraisers are also lots of fun. Perhaps you would consider joining our efforts?
