LVK has been helping adults learn to read better for 50 years. Our history has been enriched from the contributions of time and resources from our many volunteers and the students we serve.

The work of LVA is guided by a Board of Directors that meet regularly on the first Thursday of each month, except in the summer. The meetings, held at the LVK office or by Zoom, are open to the public. Check the calendar for upcoming meeting dates.

Accredited

Literacy Volunteers of Kennebec comes under the administration of, and accredited by ProLiteracy. As ProLiteracy no longer utilizes an accreditation process, LVK completes a review process annually to be considered a ProLiteracy Affiliate.
