LITERACY VOLUNTEERS OF GREATER AUGUSTA & AUGUSTA LITERACY FOR ME TEAM wish to express our thanks to all of our volunteers who made this event a great success!!!

Over 100 children were able to celebrate reading and nature through the StoryWalk that was part of Gardiner’s River Festival. The featured book Do Fairies Bring the Spring? was enjoyed by all and everyone was thrilled to meet Maine Author, Liza Gardner Walsh and illustrator, Hazel Mitchell  – Thank you to both of them for joining the event.

A special to thanks to our sponsor Summit Natural Gas of Maine.

We also appreciated Darlings’ Ice Cream Truck who provided free ice cream – donations supported Literacy Volunteers of Greater Augusta.

Thanks to J.S. McCarthy Printer’s for the Story Boards! They were amazing!!!

Thanks to Gardiner MainStreet for organizing this wonderful day on the river.

Spring Plant Sale

Thank you to the employees at 45 Commerce Drive Complex in Augusta, who supported Literacy Volunteers of Greater Augusta’s Spring Plant Sale in early May. It was great to hear from so many who clearly understand the importance of literacy in our world. Thanks to Longfellow’s Greenhouses for your support.
