November is National Family Literacy Month! There are many facets and faces of family literacy and learning.
As we join our family and friends over the Thanksgiving holidays – please remember those among your family, friends and teachers that taught you to read, gave you inspiration through learning and supported you as you sought your goals in life and say THANK YOU! Please remember those who may still experience barriers due to reading and language skills. Take some time to read to a child, make some personal time to just enjoy a book, read a new recipe, learn a new skill through reading, or take a family trip to a local library or museum. Make family literacy more than just a by-line.
A special thank you to all of our volunteers that give so much of themselves to help someone improve their lives and thank you to all of our learners whose courage is amazing.
