5th- Capitol Area New Mainer’s Project (CANMP) Education Committee – 5-6:30pm at LVA Office – 12 Spruce Street, Augusta

6th – Southern Kennebec Community Network – Meeting 8-9am at LVA, 12 Spruce Street, Augusta

17th – Gardiner RiverFest StoryWalk – 10am-3pm at Gardiner Waterfront Trail – Follow the trail while you read, Do the Fairies Bring the Spring?, by Liza Gardner Walsh. 

22nd – Tutor Orientation – 5:30 to 7PM at 12 Spruce Street, Augusta – Come see what LVA is all about, learn about all of the volunteer activities available.

27th & 29th – Tutor Training – Both evenings 5:30 to 8PM – This training will give you the strategies, philosophy and mechanics of tutoring.

     July 2017

6th -LVA Board of Directors 6-7:30pm

28th – Gardiner Downtown Merchants StoryWalk – 3-5PM, Water Street, Gardiner – Start at Gardiner Library and find pages of My Name is Yoon, then attend the Johnson Hall Free Waterfront Concert that begins at 6PM.

     August 2017

6th – LVA Display Table at the Sea Dogs Game – 1-5pm, Portland

7th – LVA Board of Directors  6-7:30pm

9th – INTERNATIONAL LITERACY DAY, Maine State Museum Foyer, 10am-2pm – Free

                 Book Vendors, Authors, Music, Maine Agriculture in the Classroom.

      October 2017

5th – LVA Board of Directors  6-7:30pm

12th – LVA Learner and Volunteer Recognition Event – 5:30-7:30pm at Bangor Savings Bank Conference Room, 5 Senator Way, Augusta. Join us as we celebrate the Magic of Literacy with, Magic Mark, a professional magician, food and friends.
